Christian Lacroix has always had a soft spot in our hearts with his ethereal eye for all things beautiful and opulent. Although slightly impossible to wear one of his catwalk creations on a daily basis, Lacroix jewellery, on the other hand, has always been a great way to accentuate an outfit.
Produced by Christian Lacroix in 1993 for the Christmas season, it is made from gold-toned gilt metal that is intricately carved with flowers and swirls. The centre piece is a heart, which is the signature of all Noel brooches produced by the brand. The signature Christian Lacroix logo is engraved on the back
Opulent, luxurious, and fantastical, Christian Lacroix designer fashion and handbags continue to circulate in the most high-demand secondhand markets. Lacroix opened his haute couture house in 1987, debuting a ready-to-wear collection in the following year. Prestigious editors and celebrities in the fashion world instantly glommed on to his designs. Preloved and vintage Lacroix handbags and fashion is inspired and eclectic, marked by experimental patterns and fabrics.
Coining the puffball skirt and floral prints as well as reintroducing low necklines, the designer’s creations were crafted with widely referenced styles and cultures. In dire financial straits, Lacroix debuted his last collection for A/W 2009. Although the brand ended on a sour note, vintage designs have become even more coveted, making Lacroix one of the most sought-after designers of preloved and secondhand fashion.
