Holographic Loafers

Originally from Emilia Romagna, one of Italy’s traditional luxury shoemaking regions, Giuseppe Zanotti started his career making women’s shoes in the 1980s. He unveiled his first eponymous collection in New York in 1994 after buying a small factory to produce the designs he would become famous for: elaborate, bejeweled, sexy and futuristic.

Giuseppe Zanotti cut his teeth in 1980s Paris as a freelance designer at some of the top maisons such as Dior, Cavalli and Mugler. Launching his own brand was a way fulfilling his creative ambition and now encompasses bags, jewellery, men’s shoes and ready-to-wear. In his own words, Zanotti’s collections are “for self-confident people who don’t follow rules and like to play with their look” and this is no less true when it comes to secondhand Giuseppe Zanotti shoes.
