The YSL Muse 2 bag is one of our favourite bags during the Stefano Pilati for Yves Saint Laurent era. Crafted with blue ostrich leather and canvas trimmings. The bag also comes with gold-toned metal hardware all around including the middle lock closure. Lends a very spacious compartment that includes a zippered interior compartment and a back exterior pocket. Fully lined in canvas. Please note there there are cracks on the top handle trimming, discolouration on the sides and top handle. Stains on the base of the exterior back pocket and interior base. Shows overall wear. Scuff marks and scratches on the base exterior and hardware.

Yves Saint Laurent was so far ahead of his time as a designer that vintage YSL clothes and jewellery today fit seamlessly in with the modern wardrobe. Saint Laurent is undoubtedly among the most popular categories in preloved, particularly second hand bags such as the Muse, unique jewellery such as the Arty ring and shoes such as the Tribute sandals.

Yves Saint Laurent started in high fashion under Christian Dior before he started his own label. It is no exaggeration to say that he revolutionized fashion and influenced society through his designs and advertising that blurred the lines between men and women’s fashion. His designs resonate to this day and made him the first living designer honoured at the Met in 1983.
