Co-founded in 1997 by American fashion mogul Andrew Rosen and Elie Tahari, the Theory brand was launched in New York as the 'New Modern' women’s collection. With a main product line of “urban uniforms” – elevated essentials such as carefully tailored stretch pants and clean-lined shirts at reasonable price points. Theory rebranded as Link Theory after being acquired by Uniqlo’s holding company, Link International.

Theory credits much of their growth and success on carefully study of their consumers – from how they shop in store to online analytics. But the reality may be much simpler: it’s had to go wrong with refreshing wardrobe classics that are sophisticated, stylish and functionally made for every career woman out there.
